When posting the most recent entry (about York, South Carolina), I found that I have used up the space allotted to me by WordPress.

Every time I read a comment or saw a Like, it made me feel good.  It’s nice to know that people enjoy my work.

South Carolina – York

I visited an old High School friend, who lives in York.  It is located just south of Charlotte, North Carolina.  (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/York,_South_Carolina)

York is a small town, with only about 7000 residents.

I took a walking tour of downtown.

I visited “The Men’s Shop.”  It has such an elegant style.  Reminded me of the fashionable clothing shops of my youth.

The most unusual thing in town is a large spine in front of the Chiropractor’s office…

The TV series “Outcast” is filmed in York.    Some of the buildings are made to look like Rome, West Virginia.  (http://www.wyff4.com/news/south-carolina-town-transforming-into-film-set/34670446)

Oregon – Portland (Oaks Park)

On Wednesday, I drove to the Sellwood area of Portland, Oregon.  Near the Sellwood Bridge is an amusement park, called Oaks Park.  (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oaks_Amusement_Park & http://www.oakspark.com/)

The amusement park is more than 100 years old and one of the oldest operating amusement parks in the nation.

When I arrived, the amusement park was emptying (from an end of school year party for middle school kids).  So I walked around taking pictures, as the amusement park was closing down for the day.

I entered through a nice park/picnic area, which overlooks the Willamette River.

Oregon – Clackamette Park

For the last month, I have been in the Portland, Oregon area.

On Saturday, I drove to a Clackamette Park in Oregon City.  The park is located along the Willamette River.  (http://www.orcity.org/parksandrecreation/clackamette-park & http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willamette_River).

It was a beautiful  place to be on a hot summer day!

Oregon – Ochoco Reservoir (Prineville area)

Idaho – Glenns Ferry

As I drove further into southern Idaho, the landscape started changing.  So I jumped off the highway (Interstate 84) in the Glenns Ferry area to get a some pictures.  (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glenns_Ferry,_Idaho)
